My name is Johnstone Kangethe.I live in Kitale town in Transnzoia County. I am the first-born in a family of 3 siblings. My parents separated when I was at a tender age, I never came to know my dad.My mother was left with the burden of taking care of us. She had to toil very hard every morning for to feed, clothe and more-so educate us, but that only couldn’t sustain us .
I Had to skip some lessons in school to do casual jobs in order to raise school fees. By the the grace of God I managed to finish my primary and secondary education though through a lot of hardships.
I was not able go to college because my mother could raise money to pay my school fees since my younger siblings were still in school .
I started a small business Kitale in town,of hawking groundnuts and boiled maize, through this I managed to save some money from the profits I made and later started a selling secondhand clothes .I worked harder and made investments that helped me acquire an open air space to display my clothes.
My business is located at Kitale town next to Kitale post Office.I deal in selling of second hand trousers for both men and women. This location is ideal because that area is very busy with activities and those people are my potential customers.I make good profits from this business not less than$350 per month.I use the income gained from my business to pay rent for the open space i operate in,pay fees for my younger sibling who is in high school and re-invest further.
Am also planning to rent a permanent shop to sell my clothes in and later join college and study fashion and design which is my dream.
My hobbies are dancing, socializing, swimming, traveling, meeting new people and helping the needy.
When i get the loan i will buy 60 lady trousers and 40 men trousers.I prefer to stock more women trousers since they buy more than men.By doing this my profits will increase hence enable me pay my loan in time, pay fees for my younger brother in high school and re invest.
My estimated budget:
Ladies trousers @ 90 x 60 = 5400/=
Men trouser @ 90 x 40 = 3600/=
