I am young entrepreneur lady . I was raised from a humble background. My parents were both entrepreneurs and farmers, I learnt a lot from them as I was growing up. I had a dream to run a profit making enterprise.
I always assisted my parents in running their business when I was free in the village so has to put food in the table.
I went to school and got a higher diploma in Businesses management. I partially paid for my college fees because I was selling shoes as a part time business.
When I finally got employed as a customer care representative. I started saving a little of my salary with a dream of opening a big boutique in future.
When I finally had enough savings I got a premise and put a shoe boutique.
Unfortunately I was laid off by the company as it was closing its Kenyan branch.
My business has been in operation since April 2016 and it is profit making. The business has been my economic back borne I use its proceeds to pay for my daughters school fee and support my self.
last year we had a prolonged election period which made my income go down, but this year business has improved I was able to clear my outstanding loan and am looking to doing bigger business this year.
I know it has taken the power of almighty for it to thrive. I am also grateful for your assistance.
I would like to expand it even more that's why I am requesting for another loan and an increase on my loan amount.
I sell new shoes and have an mpesa agency (offer money transfer services)
selling shoes is a good business as most of the people need a couple of shoes and they can never be enough.
I chose this type of business because it has flexible hours and because i had experience in the same business.
mostly my major costs are rent , inventories and travel charges.
I always have an average of profit margin of 50% from my sales.
Most of my profits are reinvested back to the business to grow stock, i also get my upkeep from the same business.
I intend to add stock of new children shoes and sell over the August holidays.
My budget is 200$ I have saved a 100$ and I am borrowing 100$. With these amount I will be able to buy 40 pairs and get a profit of 150$ this will enable me to pay these loan and plough back the profit to my business.
