Hello dear Zidisha team, My name is Joseph Mureithi, an upcoming local gospel musician and a businessmen man in Nakuru Kenya. I am a third born in a family of five, 1 girl and 4 sons born on 10 Oct 1980. I am a loving husband to Eunice and a dad for two great children. I have one daughter -Joy and a son Mike who both aspire being great people a Lawyer and a doctor respectively. I am a smart and hardworking man and also a self dedicated Christian. I strongly believe that the future lies in the hands of the young generation, and that is why I like inspiring my little kids to take education seriously. The most valuable person in my life is my mom. She worked so hard to make sure we got education however little it was back then. Although I did not make it to high school, I have a passion for art, Music and Business. About my education, I completed primary level of education but I did not proceed to High school as a result of cultural traditions and believes. In my traditional society and clan, boys were supposed to take care of their parents properties once they attain adult age of about 16 years. During that time I acquired skills such as ox ploughing, cattle rearing as well as other farming activities. I also acquired interpersonal skills such as independence, self reliance and accountability.
My business entails gas retail and is based in Nakuru town at Shabaab estate. I landed in this area of specilization as an employee at Wings and Frames Holdings. I was a packboy at this company based in Nakuru town. I learned how to rebrand gas cylinders as well as sealing the cylinders with wax as well as fire evacuation and fire emergency management. I also established a large customer base within my estate, and this is how I began my gas selling shop- Joy Gases. I currently retail empty gas cylinders, burners, grills and mini gas cookers/auto mobile fire extinguisher. My gas cylinders are highly in demand due to my public relations skills, cleanliness, quality and my strategic location within the estate. My business capital comes from SACCOs chamas and my savings when I was employed at Wings and Frames Holdings. I the returns of my business to educate my family, pay house rent as well as participating in community charity activities and church projects.
Once my loan has been fully funded, I am planning to invest in buying two bicycles for making free gas delivery to homes within nearby estates. My projection is that it will help me in pulling more customers in my business, even those located far away from my shop. The value of one new RAJA bicycle is about, $ 39. Therefore two bicycles will cost me about $ 78. I will also be paying one casual laborer about $ 1.6 per day, and I will use the other bicycle myself to distribute the gas, in order to minimize the costs. Each gas cylinder gets me a profit of about $ 3.37 for a 6kg cylinder and $ 6.17 profit for a 13 kg cylinder. I really need to get help from this forum so that we can triumph together to improve the lives of Kenyans and my business too. I have a dream of buying a Motor bike in the near future which will make the deliveries much easier. I am targeting additional sales, per day, which will translate to more profit; as a result of a wide of a wide area of supply. The loan will create a job opportunity for one more person, and this is the a positive impact to my society. Any level of assistance in therms of ideas, finance or inspiration is highly welcome from dear lenders. Thank You.
