About Me
I am a young man aged 22 years and the second last born in a family of six, where four are brothers and one sister. I have studied up to the level of a college diploma in Social Work and Community Development.I come from a rural area where agriculture is the main source of income for the locals, but as time goes by and families grow, land has been subdivided and thus the economic activity doesn't fetch much.
My passion has been working online and particularly freelancing as an alternative to agriculture. I have been writing articles online on a piecework basis since I do not own an account and also due to the fact that am still learning the art from my mentors.
My Business
Having already secured a first loan from Zidisha, I utilized it and acquired a second hand personal computer to aid me in my online jobs venture. Things worked out quite well and I was able to service my loan to the last coin. I have successfully explored other areas in online work apart from article writing, that is transcription and a bit of marketing. I have also been able to at times hire the services of a person to assist while the work load grows and that meant I wasn't the only one benefiting.
Loan Proposal
I wish to expand my venture further by acquiring a laptop which will come in handy to aid me work even when I might be away from my residence since it's portable. This is because I have at times not been able to complete the orders and tasks on time in cases where situations forced me to be away from home. I am looking forward to acquiring the laptop at a cost of $300.
Again, I have experienced a little bit of a problem in the bulk internet bundles I've required to be constantly online. This is due to the fact that the internet providers charge exorbitant prices on the same. I am therefore seeking to acquire the internet services of a company that charges $35 monthly unlimited internet. This however means that I have to take care of the installation and system purchase which is at least $220. That said, I do not seek to benefit alone since the internet system has a provision for providing internet connection via Wifi for up to two users within a radius of 100 metres. It therefore means that I can be kind enough to share the affordable internet services with up to two people who are similarly burdened with high internet costs, at a small fee, which will aid me in servicing this particular loan. That will definitely be a win-win situation for me and them.
I have personally raised about $200 as part of my project and I'm optimistic that Zidisha and the lenders will aid me and it will come to pass.
Once this is done, I will be able to do more work even while out of home (via the laptop and modem internet services), I will be able to venture into new opportunities online, also I will create employment for up to two individuals during the high season, not forgetting sharing the internet connection at a much lower cost.
