I am a capitalist. I believe in the power of individuals and the importance of charity. Having said this, I have been struggling to find an organization for me to do charitable cause, since I don't believe in giving for free (it only discourages people to become self-sustainable in the long term). Besides, most of these charities have most of money go into "administrative costs" which only enriches those working and running the charity.
My idea of helping out the poor of the world is to give my excess capitals ONLY to people who are willing to make a better living themselves, but need that initial "boost" to get things started. I do believe in charging an interest (a very small one though) to ensure whoever gets the capital are people who are good at heart and want to make a living on themselves. I don't have too much to offer yet, but it looks like what Zidisha provides is a good fit.
